 | 07:37 pm - the age old debate Is it better to attend a concert unencumbered by anything other than the expectation of having a brilliant time or to struggle with a SLR (of which I have no experience) and attempt to get a better shot than the back of someone's purple head? In a broader sense should art take precedence over science at Rammstein and HIM gigs? Yeah, the question has pretty much answered itself.

 | 04:39 pm - 2010 If you come across two lines of people in the street you can always count on me being in the line composed of the world weary cynics as opposed to the line of eternal optimists wearing their rose-tinted glasses; not that I don't hope for the best and don't get straight back up when I'm knocked down, I just expect to be knocked down. I'm the one who greets every gift horse with "oh yeah, and what's the catch?". There aren't too many daft and naive Mancunians alive and kicking these days.
So, this brave new world of 2010 has me perplexed. A spirit of the blitz mentality seems to have us in it's thrall; chuck a big pile of snow on us and you can guarantee 2 things, transport will grind to a complete halt and we'll start talking to strangers in the street. Didn't count on being sent home from work and being given a day's flexi credit though. Nope, didn't see that one coming. So, what's the catch? Current Music: The Verve: The drugs don't work.
